Mankini Is In

Dared for something out of the usual? This was my experience when I agreed to wear a mankini, as dared by a friend, for . The deviant part is, I got to wear it on a Casual Friday at the office. My only hope of not looking foolish was if there would be an officemate who’d actually wear something closer to my theme of fashion.

Of course, I went to work wearing my coat. But I know everyone was eyeing on the sight of me as bold as Borat, only mine making a statement on baby blue tint. Before I got to show off my fashion, I let them show me the money, and then I was on. I don’t exactly know whether it was the hot weather or my shyness that made me sweat too much, but when I reveale d myself with my new fashion sense, I seemed to be the gleaming attraction for Casual Friday.

I took a diversion by pretending to continue working, since I knew I was pretty much distracting everyone by showing off some shape. But before things could subside, I drew more attention again by walking across t he hallway towards the photocopier. Shame, I felt confident but that was just because I had to not look otherwise.

I guess my strategy worked, because during lunchtime I have gotten to talk to this hot chick from the department next to ours. Turned out she was wearing a bikini matched by tight jeans, and her friends ate with us on the table.

Boosted confidence, I went back to my desk to finish my day. I just regarded it as a whole day stretch from the gym, although I wouldn’t actually wear a mankini to gym. I knew my officemates, especially my boss, took me in as a surprise that morning, but during that afternoon the situation was a lot cooler.

Well, I guess nobody would find me in a mankini on my office ever again, but that was one hell of a day! I got consumed with my fear of seeming like a laugh trip, but things went out the opposite; I was an instant eye-candy.
